Why Facebook Conversion API or Server-side to track events?

facebook conversion api

As you know, tracking events on Facebook is important because it helps to know the behaviors of the audiences on a website, and we can analyze these data to improve our strategy, fix certain issues, know the user experience, improve the content, and finally, target the audiences depending on their behavior on the website for remarketing.

Facebook Pixel is the easiest way to track events, but iOS and other browsers do not allow you to track data for privacy reasons. In this case, if we want to track data from a website, we must use the Facebook Conversion API or Server-side Tracking.

Here, in the Facebook Conversion API, we send data to our own server through Google Cloud Server, Stape, or other platforms and get data from there to Facebook. In this way, we have full control over our data and can use it as we want.

In server-side tracking, we have to use Google Tag Manager, or GTM, and create a web and a server container. Then, we will send data from the website to the server and push the data to Facebook.

So, if we want to track the activities of our website audiences without any trouble, we have to use the Facebook Conversion API or Server-side Tracking.
